The Roles of Elders, Leaders and Guardians
***Please keep in mind clans may run a bit differently***
Elders: Monitor the members to be sure they are following our way, and are responsible for screening new recruits. Leadership begins with elders. An elder shows outstanding helpfulness, and respect for their teammates. They display a desire to further the clan by posting on our recruitment thread in the supercell forum, and show consistent activity both in chat and donations. Eldership may be stripped if the Elder doesn’t continue to meet the standards of eldership.
Leader: Monitors the elders. The leader position rotates. The leader can make proposals, recommend the next leader, recommend elders, and use their discretion when choosing to follow the guardian recommendations. The current leader recommends the next leader to the guardian, in private, when their time as leader comes to an end. The guardian then approves or denies the recommendation. When a decision is made, the new leader is announced.
Assistant Leader: An elder who can take over the leader position when the leader is otherwise Unavailable. The AL will pass the leadership back to the rightful leader when they sign off. The assistant leader will always be a former leader, or the current Guardian. The need for an assistant leader is determined by the individual clan.
Guardian: The guardian monitors leaders. It is a permanent position which guides the clan toward long term goals. Guardians can make elders and approve leaders. The guardian makes recommendations to the leader, but it is up to the leader to follow the recommendations.
However, A guardian’s direct request can not be refused. The guardian is responsible for administrative tasks such as recording donation stats, and is responsible for monitoring, recording, and proposing rule amendments.
The guardian can be replaced by them stepping down, or by calling a no confidence vote that will be subject to a reverse dead mans’ hand policy.
Player Rights:As a member of the Bear Family, you cannot be kicked from a Clan unless you have broken a rule in any of the Bear Family Clans. If for any reason you believe you will be unable to meet the weekly donation standards, you may request sleeper status. Sleeper Status may not exceed four weeks, and should be requested with advanced notice.
